My Captain My Captain

Gonna be playing in my first tournament ever at the end of September at the Hull's Angels gaming club, and to make it better its for the macmillan charity for cancer support.

Now the thing is i wrote out my list which included a captain on a bike (as always) but i usually just use my chaplain on a bike to rep a captain BUT as its a tournament everything has to be WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get). As this left me in brown sticky smelly stuff i decided to do something about it and make my own out of what ive got in my bitz box. Lucky for me i had an old bike so that was the main bit sorted. As you can see i added bits from the dark angels upgrade spru and had to adapt a pair of bolters for the front fairing. Now i love the rules for auxiliary grenade launchers but there just isnt a model for it (yeah thanks again GW) so i took to cutting and hacking away at a smoke launcher and voila acouple of grenade launchers were born. As for the look of the bloke riding the bike i wanted something a little different to the rest of the army characters so i hacked off the horns from a chaos helmet and did a bit of filing and he was done, ready to strike fear into the heart of the enemies of the imperium.

So till next time.........OORAH

Blue Archangel (Librarian)

Hello there people, it is I Gingerkid, back from real life to FINALLY update the blog again.

This time its my old school metal terminator Libby, which i gave a little bit of an upgrade to bring him into the modern day. Well i say upgrade like i did a great deal to him but really i just gave him a storm bolter arm from the dark angel upgrade spru and angled his force weapon arm from his body so it wasn't stuck straight out in front of him and filled the gap with green stuff.

Got him painted up last week and to be honest i'm pretty pleased with the end result. Yeah yeah I know its not gonna win any painting competitions but its good enough for me as i only really play mates anyway.
.
So anyway here's some pics of him. Let me know what you think.

So till next time ................OORAH
