Ragnar Bkackmane WIP

Here's the Ragnar Blackmane commission I've started and I've got to say...... What a pig of a model this is to paint, I was told a while back that the old models can be a bit troublesome to paint but I dismissed it as.I've never had a problem....until now lol. It's just with it being a fully molded model (apart from the backpack) some details merge and also with it being so old, some details aren't as crisp, like the the face. I think guy has had a punch too many in the face by being dropped over the years so I'm not too happy with the face but I've done the beat I could. Should have pic of him finished with the backpack shortly, its just the highlights to do.

Hopefully I should have a decent camera for future projects too. As usual I've used my phone so I took a pic inside with the flash and one outside in natural light.

As usual any sort of feed back is welcomed.

My first commission finished.

 

Here's some pics of ulrik the slayer that I did as a commission for a work colleague and friend. It turned out pretty awesome if I do say so so myself and I was pretty gutted to have to hand it over as it was probably one of my best painted yet.........and it wasn't even my model :-( . Oh well, I suppose its cos I can get abut lazy doing my own stuff but you can't do that when you're painting a model for a client.
So what do you all think of him now he's finished.

Da Veedub repainted

Just a quick post here. After painting the trukk I made from 2 of the old skool gorka trukks, Da Veedub looked waaaay too clean and tidy and Sooooooo didn't look the part so I gave it a repaint with some brighter blues and lots of muck, grime and rust, oh and I chopped the end of the flamer off to and replaced it with a big shoota.
So have at it.

Da meks in town......... And he made some buggies!

Here's my 3 warbuggies that I've converted from 3 deffcopters out of the assault on black reach set. I cant really give a how to on how I did them as I just dived in with a knife, glue, my bitz box and some good old mek ingenuity lol. I'm uber chuffed with how they've turned out and I can't wait to hit them with some paint.
So as usual leave me some feed back whether it be good or bad.

My first commission

So I've been asked by a guy at work to paint some space wolf HQ choices for him. Ulrik the Slayer, Ragnar Blackmane and Logan Grimnar.

Here's a few wip shots of Ulrik, I need to finish off his wolf pelt and paint his back pack then it'll be time to start work on Ragnar Blackmane.

I've been sending wip shots to my client and he's very happy with my work so I'm happy but what do you guys think so far, as always good and bad criticism welcome.

Keep on trukkin

Here's a quick post, I've decided that with the orks I'm gonna go quick and easy with the painting.........just like an ork really.
So here's my trukk thats only took me about 2.5 hours which is pretty bloody quick for me. Just a load of dry brushing with details picked out then washes applied to the bits that needed em, mainly the metals really.
So what do you guys think.

Goodbye green Tau, HELLO GREENSKINS!!!

Greetings blogosphere, sorry for the ridiculously long time between blogs. I decided that I needed something FUN to play so I posted up on a local gaming club Facebook page that I had 1500pts of tau that I'd like to trade for the same in orks and BLAM, I got someone straight away and we made the trade. I really couldn't be happier with the greenskins and the projects I've got in store for them.
I promise I'll post pics more often too this time. I received 2 if the old trukks but since they're a bit on the small side I pulled them apart and made 1 from both of them. I wish I had taken some before pics but hindsight is a wonderful thing don't you think.
Here are a couple if pis if it. I still don't have a decent camera so I'm still using my phone so I apologise for that. I know its not the greatest trukk conversion out there but I'm pretty happy with it. The orks are only for pick up games so I'm not trying to impress anyone really but at the same time I want something that's not gonna get me laughed at :-).
So what do you think. Good or bad criticism welcomed.
